Nove glossary: every term of the protocol, explained
The words used by Nove, the on-chain referral protocol on Solana, each explained in one or two sentences — with the exact numbers written in the program.

Unit
What members buy. 1 unit costs exactly 1 USDC or 1 USDT on Solana.
Split
How every purchase is divided, fixed in the code: 50% to the buyer, 43% to nine levels, 2% to the Pioneer pool, 5% to the treasury.
Sponsor
The member whose invite link you used. Your sponsor is your level 1, their sponsor your level 2, and so on. It can never change.
Levels (L1–L9)
The nine members above a buyer who share 43% of the purchase: 15%, 9%, 6%, 4%, 2.5%, 2%, 1.5%, 1% and 2%.
Network depth
How many levels pay you this week. Levels 1–2 are always open while active; your own weekly units open the rest: 10 → L3, 25 → L4, 50 → L5, 100 → L6, 200 → L7, 350 → L8, 500 → L9.
Weekly minimum
The units you must buy to start an active week: 10 for your first two weeks, then 20, 30, 40, and 50 from your ninth week on.
Active
The state after buying the weekly minimum. It lasts 7 days; while active you earn from your network and can claim.
Grace
The 48 hours after an active week ends. Shares are held, not lost: buy the minimum in time and they are yours.
Inactive
The state after grace runs out. New shares you would have received go to the treasury, and unclaimed balances can be settled to the treasury by anyone.
Claim
Moving your balance from the program to your own wallet. Available at any time while you are active.
Settle
The public function that sends an inactive member's unclaimed balance to the treasury. Anyone can call it; it can only move money where the rules say.
Pioneer position
One of 100 permanent shares of the Pioneer pool, created by a single purchase of 1,000 units or more. Each earns 0.02% of all volume.
Rank
A level of recognition from Bronze to Crown Ambassador, based on your network's 30-day volume and the number of qualified legs.
Rank prize
A one-time cash prize for reaching Platinum ($250), Emerald ($750), Diamond ($2,500), Double Diamond ($7,500), Crown ($25,000) or Crown Ambassador ($75,000).
Treasury
The protocol's wallet. It receives the 5% protocol share and every share nobody can take.
Upgrade authority
The key that could replace a Solana program's code. Nove's has been revoked: it reads none, so the code is permanent.
Non-custodial
Nobody holds your funds or keys. You sign every action with your own wallet.
